Z8Games Official Ruling on recent Carbon Controversy

Explain this? You really see a red dot, exactly thesame as the white one, and the bomb is already planted.
The red dot is twice the size of the white dot.
When the bomb is planted the site turns to red. It also explains the black inner color, because there is either an A or a B in there.
Reproduction using photoshop on a screenshot I had. Of me playing legitimately.
Imgur compress the photo even more unfortunately. I'll try to do a better example later.

Right now, you don't have the competitive mindset. If you're confident and your team is confident you'll win, you WILL invest the money in competing. You're pretty much saying: if I want to compete in this swimming competition, YOU have to pay for me to go there.we asked the admins of the league if it was OK. They run the league, they knew what was happening, so don't sit here and talk about how bandicam was the only recording device you are allowed to use when YOU don't run the league.
I didn't say it was famous' choice to webcam, what I said was geared towards the ADMINS of the league, that there should be NO exceptions, regardless. Re-read and understand the tone before replying -

The red dots, in most of them, were in the correct place. Especially in the blackwidow part.
I never said anything about skill level, I said that when he played on an anticheat where there's no way he can use the radar cheats, he did awful. I just find it weird that when he plays on an anticheat he sucks but when he plays with a webcam his gamesense increases by 100x and he can magically top frag all the time. -

lol wert?
No I am saying:
There is prize money from events. If you wanted the event to be lans instead that prize money would than likely be moved into funding the event.
Sorry I do not run events but for all the people involved and how far they have to come from seems likely the cost of that outweighs the prize money once offered.
So even if you know your team will win, at what $ cost? -
Imo fam0us has always been a somewhat "sneeky" player. He's always gotten those amazing clutches, peeks, shutdowns and no one never knew how he did it.
However, I do think it's suppicious that he is using a webcam. There's nothing wrong with his bandi. It won't give him any FPS lagg of any sort since he's running the game on the highets quality with good FPS.
Well, I'd like to hear an explination from xfam0usx himself, just to see what he has to say. -

There could be plenty of opportunity to tighten up the tournament. And we respect the opinion and feedback in that regard. We are not claiming to have everything clamped down as tight as we wished it was. In this case, things rolled along because it was the best option.
But I want to make it clear, that red dots are a complete theory that can be disproved very easily with simple logical explanation. As I said before, if you have additional evidence that doesn't involve red dots then we'd be glad to take it, listen to it and rule on it. As I said before, we take this very seriously. -
I capitalize "legitimately" to emphasize the fact that LANs would, if not fully prevent, reduce any attempts of unfair play.
One can say that it is due to video artifacting that it is creating those ghost red dots. The others could say that it could be a 3rd party program producing those red dots. With all "online" evidence and sources, no one can legitimize the final verdict of the case.
One may say that famous recorded on camera because he didn't want screen capturing to affect his gameplay. The others may say that he used reverse psychology in the idea that people wouldn't think someone could possibly be cheating if they "real cam" it.
As one who professions in video editing and manipulation/CGI, I could easily say that the person could have implemented those artifacts easily by increasing "noise", setting it to red channels only, adding some RGB curves to finalize the colours, adding gaussian blur to create a uniform rounded effect and even adding some dots of their own to disguise the hack.
In which case, because the rules had legally stated that players need to Bandicam, there should be no exceptions to those whether they have a problem, or their FPS drops because of it. Not to say that I do or that famous could have done, it is possible for one to use 3rd party programs and disguise them with video manipulation software.
I will also, while I'm here admit that we did make a mistake NOT enforcing Bandicam on all players for this.
You can chalk that up to inexperience. In all honesty, when someone says they are recording them playing with a webcam my first thought, based on that statement suggests that this is even better than bandicam itself (since you can't hide what's on your computer). If I had known the quality was going to be as low as it was, I would have requested, at the very least, a higher quality compression.
I truely believe that there is conclusive evidence here to suggest that no "radar hack" was being used. We just have so much experience here in the office with this kind of stuff that our investigations are thorough and conclusive.
You are absolutely right however in saying that the mistake here was not having equality for all players involved. And that is something that will be applied to future events. Especially with groups like OCGaming, they have used an AC for all their events (despite some malicious intent by a user attacking their vent/site etc), and I expect to see them enforce good and proper rules for all players in all events. -

Hack Team Investigation of a "red dot radar hack"
In the past code has been released for a potential ESP hack that shows enemy positions on a radar. This code has been reported to the developers and as such is raw and unverified to be functional.
In addition to that the hack CF PRO, which has many different variations of the same base code, and which is detected by X-Trap and banned for contains a 2D radar function which shows enemy and friendly locations.
However this function within this hack requires that the hack menu must be active in order for it to display those positions. The colors that are typically used are Green and Blue to denote friend and enemy. This was confirmed and tested and as mentioned, most versions of CF Pro are detected and picked up with auto banning.
Example screenshot included here:
I am also not aware of such a cheat that is functional today, I do know some recently released source code that may have been included in a VIP/public cheat but I will not link that here. (It is likely patched, too.)
I've talked to both AL + famous and watched all of the 'evidence' on this and I agree with most points on this thread and I'd like to elaborate on this further.
If you look into some of famous' videos you will see such 'red dot' anomalies at random times due to terrible quality of the camera/pixelation/compression. (Some which do not match the locations of enemy players on the map appear too.) The reason everyone seems to believe it is because of people using theories to suit facts instead of the other way around. (for instance: Wow, he blurred his radar in his montages too! THAT CONFIRMS IT! The effect he uses in montages is Depth of Field, It helps focus on the 'action' whilst blurring out most of the radar/HP/killboard/etc.)
I'd also like you guys to understand that I am not bias (and if I was, I'd probably be going against famous because he beat my team.. think about it.), but if I see someone who is accused due to misunderstandings/coincidences or technical complications then I'll intervene and give my opinion/thoughts on it regardless of who is being accused and who accused them.
I probably would have thought the same initially without further technical investigation and considering some factors into the situation. (i.e: the fact that radar ESP's are rare and usually no longer are incorporated into modern cheats whether it be public or private. I'm also not aware of any VIP cheats that include the hack. (2 VIP sites which I will not name were shut down that were incredibly popular to cheaters. I also doubt that the Radar ESP was included in those VIP's either.)
I have been also been able to replicate the same thing on the images as Denxi has posted made with Photoshop. Terrible quality/compression can cause a lot of video/picture anomalies which other people pass off for being "smart" and using a bad quality camera to hide his cheats whereas the camera he used ended up making him look like a cheater due to the bad quality.. oh the irony.
Regardless of the communities opinion, I've requested that famous makes a video of a random 30-45 minute game (pub game) whilst recording via webcam + bandicam simultaneously to prove such video anomalies and disprove (or prove?) any theories. He has also noted that he is making another response currently so he will do that later.
Many of you have been misled to believe this by your own imagination or optical illusions/anomalies from terrible quality on a video.[GM]Saidin wrote: »The red dot is twice the size of the white dot.

Only files that are >1MB will be compressed.
This was also an excellent analysis by Z8Games and was handled very well. (whether some things may be arguably incorrect the majority of the points made are correct.) While I will admit some of the stuff presented against famous' is suspicious it is nowhere near enough evidence to come to such conclusions and the only reason many are believing is because it is easy to believe for them. Pretty much anyone in CrossFire who performs well is always questioned until they prove themselves by means of playing on under a reputable league/anticheat or going to a LAN and performing well. Even after that, some people are still questioned from time to time.
Again, this is just my opinion on this.. I'll look forward to any further evidence presented for/against him to review. -

A friend brought up something earlier to me which i thought was interesting.
Now i am not sure but maybe you can clear up for me where there is anything of green value on the mini map/radar
some of famous's bandicam footage

If you can't see.
Oh, here changing Levels and Sharpness.
This proves that there is something strange at his radar.
Edit:
This is my last edit, look at this, it are two different colors, this means it has nothing todo with the bomb.
You didn't read my edit. -
Response to Maveloff's Video
Idk if I can post the link to my video in here, but if I can't can a MOD just take the link out and leave this post here.
Anyways, as all of you know, Mav posted that video that I can't link on here, but you've all seen it so what is the use of posting it.
Video responses first:
In this video, I took the rounds of the matches that he brought up, and guided you through the complete rounds showing you what I heard, what I seen, what calls were made, and even guided you through what my thought process was. Turn your sound up so you can hear everything. At the beginning I talk about the situation and at 7:40 I talk about how the video is going to work. At 9:15 or so, the rounds start. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCqWtdUL8bs&feature=youtu.be
Denxi's video: In this video, Denxi is showing that the red dots are just anomolies and that they don't line up with where players are. He explains it very thoroughly. I have no affiliation with him, he isn't even really an acquaintance of mine. I have talked with him just a couple times and that goes to show that he didn't make this video because he's friends with me. He made this video because he noticed all of this stuff and realized that the video was falsely accusing me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J7VN8TAJ3Q
Saiden's thread is the last link I will post: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=249001
Now, there is a very common question that keeps being asked: Why didn't I use bandicam?
Answer: After a zombie game that a lot of us know well (idk if I can say the name) had an overlay cheat come out that made it possible to record on the game client itself and the cheat wouldn't show up on the recordings, many, many people started to jump on the "famous uses overlays on bandicam" boat. I got tired of that and bought a 60$ webcam that I thought would be good quality so that you can watch what I am doing exactly as I'm doing it. I thought that would get rid of all the people saying that I cheat, but obviously it only provided another avenue for them to run down.lionheartban wrote: »The issue was that people accused him of cheating on bandicam (using overlays or something like that) so he was using a webcam to record way before the CF stars tournament began to disprove that theory.
I really don't know what else to say, if you still don't believe in my legitimacy, that is your own prerogative. I don't care about your opinions enough to sit here and argue with you. You can believe what you want. The proof against it is right in your face and if you choose not to see it, my words won't change your mind. -
For the record, if i said you could use webcam,(i can't remember if i did or not, but judging off me saying yes to mykl during the season then i'm sure i okayed it) this was only for CFL, not CFGL. I had no say in CFGL due to me playing.
I'm not even the one that asked you, it was Andrej that asked you for me btw because he was thinking of using his phone to inherently do the same thing as me. He wanted to do it to prevent the mouse lag that you get when using almost any recording device. -
What is this?
It's just a google image picture of A radar hack, and aL posted it to show not all are green.
Also question:
If they red dots are due to low quality compression: why is it not consistent through out the enitre video, and just a few spot's instead?
