Perfect. I'm glad you were able to point out specific times and examples.

Now, instead of bashing the entire cast, casters or efforts worked to even make this happen in the first place we can discuss how to make it better in the next time.

I think after a cast 4+ hours in I'll give David a little leeway. I think you're correct, laughing and bashing a player specifically on a cast is not something that was likely intended. I think you can hear a tone in David's voice with the immediate quite after that line that it was probably not the most appropriate thing to say.

Edit: I also think that the learning will come from the other people involved in the cast too for switching to the action and to other players. The actual view needs to be switched to where the excitement is happening, and if that gets distracted or switched to a player where there is no action then we're probably going to see a slip like that.

There's an opportunity to learn what was good and bad about the cast. But the criticism can't just be from some heckler in the audience with nothing more than cursing and swearing to say.

So again, I thank you for bringing up the specific examples. And I think it's worth noting for all casters constructive criticism when they cast and learn from it to better it in the future.

Ok ill do that more, sorry. It just irritated me because it wasn't once, it was couple times.

Just to comment on what you have said.

I've been playing with Carbon for 3+ months now. I was a lot more critical but if anybody should have a problem about how I talk about Carbon, it should be them. I had a great time and I was also working hard to not be biased. It's the team I've been playing with for quite a while. It was a great match and I was happy to be able to be apart of that.

I understand you've been playing with them, still doesn't give you any right to make rude comments in a cast. Nobody in the cast wants to hear it, that's the main point. Half of the watchers were famous' subs. They all like brando , harvey, etc. because they were in his videos. You brought the entertainment level down for them
  • The thread is about casting, please keep discussion based on THAT.

Your the only person who has mention this to me. So when you say "we", I'm assuming your generalizing the viewers. I've gotten a lot more "good jobs" and "loved the cast" then "You are mean". "your comments are rude".

But, you do have a point. I always take critisism and try to work from it. I'm not the best caster. I have no other experience other then being in broadcasting club at school (school news) and doing what I do now which is casting Cross Fire. As a caster, I look at what I've done. I also watch my matches and listen to myself to see how I sound. I take all the comments made into consideration and try to become better. I apologize if I put the entertainment down for you or any others but I'm learning. Next time I cast, your words are heard and I'll do better to correct and work to bring a better cast for my viewers. Thanks!

Alright man, but you see..people don't like to be the ones to criticize harshly because they don't like to get bashed at by other people because of what they said. I'm not saying you are bad, you did good and you had an exciting voice, you have a great voice to be a caster. Just that the things you said brought alot of people down while watching.
    For example:
a bunch of people are on mumble rooting for a team, and you call a player dumb, it makes them say things like "This caster sucks" or "He doesn't know sht", etc.
You know at the end of the day your goal was to have everyone satisfied and entertained, so I'm just trying to protect you, because you don't want people saying things like that to you, you know what I mean ;/

Your goal was to "protect" him and yet the title of the thread is " casters are a joke"

    lol that is all.
  • David's casting is just really repetitive (meaning you say the same things every single time just worded different depending on the situation) and your vocabulary seems very limited.
  • I've been wanting to cast for awhile but I have a hard time making fluent sentences. I either say "uhhh" or I get confused on what to say next.

I use this video for help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wdbiPByR-s
