I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this.

    1) Please don't swear

    2) The BR stream was on a 2 minute delay. Though at the very beginning it was on a 1 minute delay. We asked them to change it.

    3) No one looked at the BR stream to gain an advantage.

    4) The BR stream was smoother because it was lower resolution and could handle a larger crowd.

    5) #4 is true because the HG9 channel is partnered and the CFL channel was not. We could have used the official twitch.tv broadcast channel for this, but our goal is to expand and get more people on board with casting and displaying the game. We achieved this goal with nearly 1000 viewers on the CFL channel.

I would get some of your facts straight before coming to the forums to curse and swear at people.

    #shutdown

It wasn't on delay. English stream was 2 minutes ahead of the br one That means the english stream was 4 minutes behind? Not possible.

Never accused abybody of looking at the br stream, thank you very much. As of you KNOWING that nobody used the brazilian stream, how can you be sure? You have no way of checking that so don't say that you know it. Not to mention there were multiple cases of cheating in wcg 2011 finals so that just shows how far people can go just to win a trip.

    2. Don't put words in my mouth.

Will edit my previous post after I get on my computer. Phone makes it ridiculously uncomfortable.

Even before any of the matches started I noted that the BR stream was a minute or so ahead of the CFL stream. The BR was then delayed.

At no point was anyone able to ghost due to the stream delays.

So what if the BR was ahead of the CFL stream. NO ONE could ghost period.

I was in the casting room myself hearing it LIVE and the BR stream was alteast 1 minute or so behind the actual gameplay.

So the english stream was delayed by 4 minutes?

Let's the game on Port (that's when I checked + a map after or before so it was going on for a while) is 4 minutes into the game. Since the English stream was 2 minutes late vs the Brazilian one, There had to be 3 and then 4 minutes difference from the original picture to the english stream.

That or your buffer on the english stream got delayed...

While the two streams might have been "off" on their own timing, I was located in the mumble room for the actual cast in addition to having both streams running on two different computers and two different internet connections. (Both my PC and Laptop on two separate networks)

I was also in the game, watching the channels and the game rooms.

We noticed immediately that the BR stream was not delayed as much as the NA stream. This was noticed within the first 10 seconds of the streams going live. We corrected it before the first match even started.

Neither one of the live streams was truly "live" to what was going on in the actual game. If they were 'off' by a minute then it was likely due to the fact that the BR was a smoother stream connection wise simply because their channel was partnered and it was running at a lower screen res.
  • CFL's stream was delayed by 200 seconds.
