Contradiction within the competitive community
The contradiction between the competitive community and pubs are one of the reasons that there are a limit amount of players in the competitce community. How many people here that plays competitvely are actual zp users? I would say few to none. I myself uses zp from time to time, with all that armor and op guns,it is a huge advantage in pubs and clan severs. So most zp users would choose pubs and clan servers instead. That gets to my next point, I would guess z8's expense would not be low, and they need that amount of ppl to buy zp, so that they could run the game. Any zp users that plays decent with full armor, wall bang guns, spop, and smoke goggles would be considered noob or cheats by echo players. If all that zp users were to be playing competitively and not spent any zp, I would say that z8 would have a hard time keeping the game up. So, I guess it would be quite difficult to promotes the competitive side and run the game in the same time. I still enjoy go pwning in pubs with op guns from time to time, is not that alpha users would not like to get competitive, it is that they would not drop down their armor and zp guns and pratice with normal guns. Personally, I would like to see the competitive side expand, because of the enjoyment I have in praticipating events like lan, cfl, drafts, and such. Even though not much people praticipates in it, there are alot of ppl who enjoys watching it, so I guess advertisement and more casts should be organized. Setting polls for matches and reward ppl with small amount of gp/items would get ppl praticipated, there are endless ways of advertising.

Lets bet money on brackets. Id watch more if I was betting on matches. Or give away a prize to whoever predicts brackets with scores most accurately. -
I've bought ZP in the passed. Probably more than I can remember buying. There are a couple of things to be said in response to you.
~
1) Just because you buy ZP does not mean you have to spend it on ZP only items. I've got a LARGE portion of currently league-legal weapons, as well as a couple that aren't.
http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=1922974
But they're all GP. The only gun I've ever spent ZP on was a month or two of the M4 Silenced when it first came out, everything else was GP (well, besides a SPOP, and again on it's initial release). The two Gold guns I have I won from the CFFAs, and don't expect to use in competitive play.
My point is that you can still support the game without purchasing ZP items. Whether it's name changes, GP weapons, or just refreshing your nade kit/bomb defuse kit, there ARE still ways for people to spend ZP without breaking league rules.
~
2) Even if you DO purchase ZP guns, that doesn't mean you're sacrificing something when you don't use it in a competitive game. I can't really see it being that big of a deal for someone to take off a SPOP and Kris for a scrim or two. Chances are if you're actively buying ZP and acquiring new, crazy guns that you're also very active in-game, and will have ample time to use said guns in a pub.
Maybe I'm under-estimating, but I really don't see this as a significant turn-off.
~
3) Let's say that, in our current situation, #2 actually IS a large issue. That there actually are a large portion of people who don't scrim and practice because they'd rather pub with their ZP stuff. If that's the case, then the solution isn't necessarily allowing the ZP stuff, IMO it's rooted in making competitive play more appealing in general, so that they actually are convinced to put down the ZP guns for a bit and scrim.
Now, how to actually accomplish that is a whole other discussion.
~
Note: There is a seemingly valid argument to be made for allowing ZP weapons in competitive play, however I don't have a good enough grasp on it atm to actually take about it in this post. I know Doop does, however :O -
the only way i can see zp being included in a league is if they make an entry fee for teams in zp which include armor packages (armor being allowed in the league at a discounted price), i've played a few leagues in other games and none of them have allowed "currency" guns, it does not bring more players to the competitive side, in general NA game population is relatively small, i don't see bringing zp guns helping the community grow.

The only time zp weap was allowed was probably s1, the silver guns, and wogl open. I'm not saying zp guns should be allowed, I'm saying that zp guns and armors are more tempting to use, and once ppl uses it, is hard to go back =P, it takes quite sometime to practice to play on one side, so I guess it would just be hard to play both. So ya, the contradiction, I knew many huge zp buyers, and I noticed that it is quite the impact, so I just pointed it out, and hopefully more ppl plays completitively=3it will probably bring a few, but not a # that people are looking for.
I do like how the chinese allow any and every gun tho.
I think chinese version is only version that does tournies and leagues with every gun and such, because of the popularity and other factors -
Chinese use every gun, every character, head n body armor, etc etc in all their tournies and such, and they win wcg every year
Don't compare these stupid facts. That's all about the skills. Chinese have thousand teams signed up for WCG and only one team can represent their country. That's why they won WCG. -
So I don't get this. Your complaining about a part of the game that you can't change because it's somehow "hampering" the competitive community. For all I've played I've never seen a big correlation between ZP and being competitive. I've played with people that have spent lots of ZP(including myself) and little no ZP in the competitive community and it seems to make little to no difference to me.

How is this complaining btw. -

It was worded in a way that seemed to be like an argument or complaint. If your simply asking for more advertisement/encouragement from Z8 towards competitive play, that's fine. I just don't see the point in bringing up this really non-existent contradiction about ZP and being competitive in relation to that. -

it does exist, and ppl don't notice it, dats why I'm pointing it out, being competitive does mean throwing away most of da zp stuff for huge zp users -

Honestly they should make ZP competitive. They Could make tournament entry fees payable by ZP and give all of the ZP to the top placing teams or make it into cash. The bad thing is for cash they wouldnt make any money. -

something like that, updating pages like these would be very useful http://tournament.z8games.com/ , it is a good way to organize events -
I dont like to use the m4a1 in pub , although I can easily have a 3.0 / 4.0 kdr in alpha , I rather use a m4a1 custom , imo , custom suck , I dont like the spray pattern etc , but lol I love the looks so whatever CUSTOM time , that goes to other zp guns as well, the skins are just too catchy u know , I bought the ak fury but cant aim with it at all LOOOL I rather use a normal AK and have a better aim , but still , in alpha , AK FURY YO WOOHOO fun fun the point is even if you are an e8 player , you can still buy zp guns for pubing cause it is more fun than just a lame gp M4a1 with a SWAT and a normal DE lol

ik, XD...but for people with like 10 crate guns, the chances are that they would not use a normal m4...I found the normal ak to be the best to use -

Well , I have read a lot of opinion from players and I think one of the biggest reason that competitive and pub players cant get along cause the e8 ego lol. -

No.
It's because these pub players wanna use any gun, while we live by a strict rule-set on weapons/characters/ ect
