It has been proved somewhere how healthy you are actually effects how well you can play. You think slower (may be the slightest) when you're unhealthy.
So if you're unhealthy and a top player, you could be better.
A lot about the mood you are in effects it as well, and it's known being healthy is typically a way to be in a better mood all the time and be more consistent. -

I would agree with this.
edit: From my experience, most top players are/were athletes. I think being fit has a significant impact on skill levels. -

Being healthy def not gonna hurt you in anyway. If you in a healthy stage that mean more blood pumps to your brain, result in faster reaction + clearer thoughts.
But there are more than enough "heavy side" top players in FPS competitive scene to prove that being fit affect your gameplay by insignificant amount -

yeah lose some weight,
age is a factor too, you are at your fastest when you are between the ages 13-16
and girls are faster than guys(general)
because its in flexibility, and gals are more flexible than guys
I'm sure flexibility plays a huge factor in one's gameplay. This is why MyAWM was uncontested in middle (bw) as his ballroom dance classes gave him the edge against everyone else. -

hahahah.
either way being fit rather than out of shape has an effect of the mental health moreover, which does make players better. Unless you're asian, then you're automatically god.
@the person saying girls are faster(lol'd), and that 13-16 have the fastest reaction.. Could I get some proof? My reaction has gotten much better over the years, and now I'm almost 18, so I'd beg to differ.
My opinion, shorter players are better; gandhi. minty, mav, dren, famous, logic etc -

ahahah, but the more in shape you are, the more flexible you are
girls are generally more flexible than guys -
I didn't read anything past the first page but let me tell you what this thread is stupid. If you think physical fitness will help your gaming then you're working out for the wrong reasons(Wizdom). Also, Mav isn't fit. Mav is skinny. Looks like someone who I would enjoy calling my little brother and taking out for a hot dog. I'll attend all of his bowling matches. I imagine Jaime to be hideous and fat everytime I've seen him ingame, correct me if I'm wrong and he's pretty nifty. Famous however, is fit....Blitzd is in good shape as well. The difference being I don't imagine Blitzd rocking out to Katy Perry feeling drunk after his first beer and accidentally kissing a dude and keeping it secret(Razzles). Don't get me started on Andrej, he's better at instagraming mirror photo's than he is CF. Not fit, damn good.

Let me tell you why your logic is flawed. IF everyone were to be at the same game level, the healthiest person has a better chance of doing good every game compared to the others. That is not the case, yes andrej is better than a lot of players and he isn't that fit, that's because his skill level is beyond that of other players. If he were matched with someone of his skill level who is much healthier, he will be out beat (Although I don't think andrej is unhealthy, just giving you an example). Wizdom believes that working out will make him better, and he is right. He has the mentality that if his body is fit then he is happy, better mentality is better game play by far. -

lmao i was never flexible
@the topic... there is no correlation. There are too many factors to take into account and there is no way you can make a control group for every little thing. There are people who sweat profusely, there are people who are more nervous than others, fatigue, stomach aches, etc are the usual suspects for playing worse. Unless you're big to the point that your fat is blocking your vision, the difference in gameplay is miniscule -
