Below are 14 teams we've seen prove themselves on the battlefield in the last few months in competitive CrossFire. And although this may not represent every competitive player in the game, we feel these teams are active and ready for the challenge.
We need to pick the final spot for our Final Four teams to fight for the chance to head to China. We have taken a look at the rosters and we're ready to announce the teams at this time.
Please note there are 14 teams here, and the tournament will be 16 teams in total. This leaves room for 2 teams to sign up on a first come, first serve basis which we will will announce on the afternoon of April 17th.
Below are the teams and important information, so if you're on here read it carefully.

Important Information
Your team will need to check in no later than April 17th at 11:59pm EST in the appropriate check in thread.
Teams will be expected to compete in an elimination tournament running between April 19 - 21. Hosted by the CFL.
Rules
The CFL will be running the rules for the tournament. Expect to follow the same rules from CFL Season 1. Black and White rules will be in effect. If you screw up you're DQ'd no buts.
In the event a team does not check in they will be DQ'd.
In the event a team does not show up for their match they will be DQ'd.
We must have a winning team picked by April 21st from this tournament.
Further rules can be discussed with the CFL as they will be hosting the tournament.

Please note, since ~March 22nd it has been know that this tournament would need to happen between the CFL Season 1 and ~April 21st.
We announced that we had to have our team picked by April 26th.
I realize that it's frustrating from a schedule standpoint. It's also frustrating for us, but we need to have the team picked by then, this is the only logical time we can do it.
Also, please don't swear on the boards or bypass the censor. I've already banned 1 of the regulars for posting ****. I don't want to have to remove all our competitive regulars from the game for breaking the rules. But I won't hesitate to do so if you push it. -

but to be told "tough luck" by some clown who didn't partake in any of the lan/league quailys its truly upsetting.

Cross Fire NA/UK will be sending 1 team determined from a selection process which has already started and will last up until April 25th.
We have to have our team selected by April 26th. Which doesn't give us a lot of time to set this up.
Our selection process will look like this:
4 teams will be chosen to compete in a single elimination tournament starting ~April 21st.
These 4 teams will be chosen by various other tournaments and leagues currently running and that have run in the past.
The 4 teams will be chosen through the following:- FG LAN - Toronto, Ontario, March 30th 2013
- CFL Season 1 - Currently going, ending Mid-April
- Hammertime - Selected as a representative based on previous experience and abilities at WCG and other tournaments
- Invite League - To be announced. We are looking at doing a 12 team elimination tournament. This will include the top teams from CFL as well as a few select other teams. There will also be a one-shot chance to sign up on a first come first serve basis. This will not be announced, and you will simply have to stay active and stay involved to hear about it!
Note that Winners of the FG LAN, Season 1 of CFL and Hammertime will not be participating in the Invite Tournament.
I even told you and the other participants at the LAN that they would be invited to the invite tournament. And that we were under a tight schedule and had to have a team picked by April 26th.
There were also posts made by the CFL during season 1 that changed the schedule to speed things up. -
agnBREAKOUT doesn't get a spot at lan because we lost more rounds at LAN? Because we were tied for a spot at LAN with Molson
The difference is ray that Molson made the CFL playoffs too. But I still think you should get PDF's Spot or a spot because they didnt play at lan or CFL playoffs. Just my thoughts tho. Best of luck ray. -

Why should agnbreakout get PDF's spot when PDF is way better and has a higher chance of representing our version? -

Im not saying Agn is better. Im saying they should still get a shot since they did more than PDF did to qualify for the spot. Its not about who is better its about who did what was needed to earn a spot, and in that sense Agn did more.

hammertime didn't do anything in terms of CFL or LAN either. The invited teams was based also on how good they are, not just how well they placed. If that was the case, then some of our better teams wouldn't have the chance to represent our version as they didn't get into CFL or the LAN -

Saidin and myself can invite anyone who we feel is good enough to participate in this tournament. Thats why its an INVITE tournament.

Yeah, im just saying by the criteria they should get one of those spots. Its nothing against PDF being in the mix. I just feel like Agn did what was required to get a spot. -

Can you pm/post the rankings of the FG lan? From what I see they only beat 1 team, and that was revitalized.. lol. -

We definitely respect that opinion.
This current list of teams was determined before hand. And there will be an opportunity for 2 teams to sign up.
We'll also look at the possibility of having a standby team should someone not show up by April 17th. (also one of the reasons why we're having a check in). -

So a team that is less qualified and less likely to represent our version should take the spot of the team that is arguably the most likely to represent our version?

We won more rounds, won an extra match, made it to cfl playoffs, I think we deserve a spot over your team. And i dont know how we're tied for placing with a win over your team, maybe i just dont know how the rankings work, but i would assume you get ranked higher with more wins. -

Sorry I didn't mean it as you don't deserve a spot, I just meant that in brackets wise for fgLAN that we tied. Brackets not wins, if wins are considered you guys would have more
edit: Because the requirements of achieving a spot was top 6 from lan not including the winner which was carange
