LAN Question - Mumble + X-Trap + Windows 8

Hello!

For anyone who attended the LAN, does anyone have a copy of the error code that X-Trap was giving with mumble?

Can anyone reproduce the error using Windows 8 + Mumble + CrossFire?

If they can, we also need the x.dataxx.log file located in the X-Trap folder on your PC.


We're working with X-trap to increase the stability/compatibility of Ventrilo, Teamspeak and Mumble and are looking for anyone who is having problems with these programs and WINDOWS 8.

damn, can't even remember the errors we were getting. I do believe it has something to do with the mumble overlay.

Will try to reproduce once I'm home.

The overlay error happens for 7 and xp too AFAIK. The overlay error also does not tie with xtrap because it only happens when you are loading in and the error window "Send Error Report" appears.

ah right, must be another error.

It is possible the error came from a driver from the computers. I am using windows 8 and everything runs fine. In fact, it runs smoother than W7.

The latest x-trap patch also has some of the voice chat issues addressed (amongst our regular hack stuff).

Definitely keep us posted for any errors you see with the 3 big voice programs (mumble, TS, Vent). We'll want to make sure these things are fixed asap.

I know what the errors are, mainly the ones I experienced with different windows8 devices were when I had cf running and running mumble as admin while xtraps bar was going, cf crashed and also 49 times out of 50 crossfire crashes if mumble was running before you had cf logged in:) hope it helped if not I can test whatever you need with 5 different windows8 comps at work and give you the info needed!
