CrossFire Server Maintenance - March 27th @11pm EST
Attention Mercenaries!
3:45am EST The Servers are open
In our attempts to further improve the quality of life in CrossFire we are having a maintenance tonight for more server updates and some game fixes.
The servers will be down at 11pm EST March 27th, for approximately 1-2 hours, while we implement these fixes.
We apologize that the maintenance has gone over our original time estimate.
What does this mean? We're upgrading our servers to better defend against malicious attacks. We are also implementing a better early detection system on our servers so that when an issue occurs we are more informed and can solve the problem faster.
We are also performing a game update tonight which will help further address the client errors users have been seeing in ZM games and more. This will also contain a couple of minor bug fixes that have been reported recently too.
Thanks everyone for your patience and loyalty! This maintenance tonight should take large strides towards making the game better for everyone!

truth coming out
so much exp lost, so many kills lost... every day this game keeps pushing me away from it.with every update/patch the game destabilizes even more and it keeps on lagging.i play another version of cross fire and that one is so well optimized comparing it with cross fire NA.why is that?you care so less about us or what?
I like this game so much, and by this game i mean CFNA but do something do keep me/us here and dont cast us out to other games. -

That's what they are working on.
Duplicating game patches from on version to another isnt a walk in the park. -

I understand your idea but you didnt get mine.Lets compare CFNA with CFEU, should we?
So, in CFEU, after every patch the gameplay doesnt get any laggy or whatever, but in CFNA with every patch the gameplay does get laggy. Please do explain me/us why is this happening? -

There could be a multitude of factors that go into this.
Lets take a couple of examples. Firstly, our version is bigger than there's from all sides. More users, more content, larger database etc.
Secondly, about that database, this is where some of the server instability has come from. We track a lot more things than other versions of the game. We do this for the benefit of our customers. Clan Page stats, crate tracking, ribbons, database events etc.
In other versions they rely solely on what is put in front of them. We try to create as much interactive content as possible. Sometimes managing that content takes a little extra ummph, and that could contribute to some of the initial server instabilities after a patch.
Additionally, we have an audience that spans the globe. Despite IP restrictions we still have a multitude of players from lots of places around the world. This contributes to the overall taxation level on the servers and can cause some instability.
Lastly, there are always a number of random factors that we have no control over. Population counts, the fact that everyone piles into ALPHA no matter what, the queue for people patching and downloading in the days after a patch. Random internet traffic etc. There's a lot of factors here and no one issue is the blame entirely.
The recent server maintenance's have been as much as fixing game errors as they have been for dealing with server instabilities. With each new one we're getting to a better state of being and we will continue to upgrade and address the issues as we see them to the best of our abilities. -
