Untrue.
Hopsin is pretty popular in the US, and he has some pretty good songs, lyrical wise. It's all opinionated anyways~
edit: For your edit, very true. Though hopsin 4 is the first song I heard by him. -

Being popular doesn't make you a good artist though. It's the same generic bullshit that practically every rapper has in their lyrics.
I just don't get how people can like one song from one artist when it becomes popular then just completely disregard it when it isn't mainstream any more. I don't like hopsin at all so. -

Hopsin is actually pretty different from your generic rapper.. Take some time to listen to some of his songs.
But as I said, it is all opinionated. I think he's a great artist, you don't. It all depends on the person really, does it not? -

Yeah it does. Some people have good taste in music, others don't.
I don't like rap in general so I'm rather biased anyhow. -
