I say before people can post the thread make it so it forces them to search before they can post

we want people to search for information, not search up old threads and post in them.


no harm in making a new thread if the one in the search function turns out to be three years old and it didn't solve your problem.

There could also be something like hints to threads on the same topics. Some sort of reminder. e.g. if you want to make a thread called Halloween patch" it will show you threads that got a similar name..

Well that's why there should be a reminder of threads that already deal with that theme.. They can check the suggested threads and see if their question already got answered at some point.
