"Clean" Server

How about... a server/channel... maybe in Echo or another under-utilized server... where one may not use any ZP guns or guns that have a timer on them. Just GP guns. ORRR. Have it just be a select few of these GP guns.

Also, limit the ping to sayyy 110 or 100 and it auto-kicks if the ping is higher than that for over 10 seconds or something.

The game styles in this channel will be limited to FFA, TD, and SnD. This server is obviously taylored to the more competitive players in the game. It would provide better practice etc.

You have probably gotten threads like this but I would like to know where you guys stand right now.

1. you want 'echo 8' a real server with those rules break them get kicked.
2. what if you play a game and at round 10-8 in SnD and then ping spike up to 150 for 20 sec.
3.what about those that live in EU and have a 110 ping and want to play in a server like that?
4.most of the players now these days lag like 150-200 ping or more.
5.you want z8 to spent alot of time making a server like this and then end up with one allmost full channel or 2 full channels?
6.it shut out zp users (kinda)
7.after time all the people gonna go to that server then all the ones with higher ping cant play anymore means z8 would lose players and lose zp users.
want more answers?

No...just...no...

First of all, no server/channel is EVER going to be dedicated to either half the game's content OR half its players. People have paid good money to get these ZP weapons, so why would we make a server where they aren't allowed to use them? Also, I know high pings are annoying, but you can't just exclude people for having them.

You can set up private rooms and play under these rules without needing a whole server to your disposal.

Well sooooooooorry....I just wondered if I was the only one that would like an experience like that without having to organize so many good/legit players...

well maybe you could try to do it with a channel no one use like how people did with 'echo 8' look/ask on the forum for people that got the same idea.
then let them tell friends and it gonna grow but it gonna start small ofcoure.

As said before, people spent money to get these guns so why should they get punished and not be able to use them everywhere?

+1 except the ping thing, like if its the last round in a tourney match and all of a sudden verizon or w.e company you have decides to take a humongous sht on a small toilet, you know where im going with this lol

So basically WCG rules? That would be kind of neat. In echo 8 they used to kick players with ZP guns, and keep those who were using things like original AK and M4. I got kicked because I had a scar light (this was ages back).
