So clan points are obtained via clan matches and in game exp or just CM? And if anyone would like to give me tips on how to run a successful clan feel free to do so I'd be much appreciative

Clan points are earned by the members of a clan. For every 500 exp they earn the clan gets 1 clan point. There is a max of 10 clan points per person per day. Also clan points can be earned by winning clan wars.

Honestly, running a successful clan depends on your own personal leadership. If you can't lead its going to flop on its face. Some people are just born leaders and can do the job. I would like to think that all clan leaders are actual leaders in their everyday life.
