Hero's secondary weapon

Now since everyone knows that Hero gets special gun at Hero mode as a primary weapon shouldn't he have special secondary weapon too?

We can already see that he has some kind of shotgun on his back (Remington?) and it would be very neat if he could switch his FAL Camo for that secondary shotgun.

Also when he switches to Shotgun, FAL should appear on his back instead the Shotgun.

I don't think it would be OP cool to have another unique weapon for Hero.



So, what do you think?

the shotgun on his back is indeed the remmy but when and if they decide to add a secondary to the hero is highy unlikely to happen until more and OPed mutation characters exist because as of now the hero is pretty balanced

You didn't know?

It's the ultra-accurate-tight-spread-large-cartridge-capacity Remington 870. It's a one-of-a-kind customized shotgun that the Hero himself spent weeks tinkering with, even going as far to include a pouch on the shoulder stock to hold more shells for the shotgun.

He even includes a carrying sack to hold it on his back!

One thing he did wrong though was to tie it off with velcro and now he can't get it undone to use the shotgun. It is forever lost and remains to this day unused.

OT: Yea that would be cool I guess about having the remmy for the secondary, and to include an animation in 3rd person of him reaching back to put away the FAL Camo then to grab the remmy and bring it forward to bear.

Well the Remington is weak and isn't suitable for HM especially for a hero.
Maybe add some tweaks like more knock-back and damage.

I agree, another wep for the hero would be cool, but please not just a remington. Once tried it for 30 days and while it might be accurate, its ROF is little and the reload takes forever. Give him a Remingtion-Advanced that reloads faster and maybe is even a bit more accurate.
Or just give him a special pistol, maybe a Mauser C96 M712; that was a full-auto version of the Mauser C96 that we know as Mauser 1896 in CF. It was used in very small quantities during the second world war, but was also exported to a lot of other countries from 1932 onwards. It didn't use those loading strips the standard Mauser C96 used, but instead had a detachable magazine that protruded from the weapon. Here's a picture:

In-game, stats could be as follows:
Damage: same as Mauser and Mauser RD
Range: same as well
Accuracy: same again
Recoil: same when firing in 3 round burst, a bit higher when firing in full auto mode
Ammo: 20 round box magazine (also had 20 round in real life)
Reload: about a third faster than Mauser as it has a box magazine that is easier to handle (plus, since both CF versions of Mauser and Mauser RD have only little less ammo than the real life Mauser C96 M712, I guess it deserves some advantage over them)

And, of course, it would have a full-auto mode that either replaces or adds to the 3 round burst function (which never existed in reality, but hey, who cares?).

So? What about that?

I wanted to mention this too, but I kinda forgot. It would really be stupid if he pulls out Shotgun and you can still see him carry it on the back.

Why not? Like most of the people use their secondary weapon on hero... This would just be a nice addition to this unique game mode.

It's a bug that occurs rarely. And I don't mean the bug I heard of where you can switch to your own weps when being the hero if you didn't fire a single shot before, it simply is that you become the hero, but dont get the FAL camo and rather stay with the normal primary wep you chose to enter the round with.
Once had that happen to me...luckily, I had a Minimi gold at that time which made the thing quite pleasant (even though I was alone at B on Port and got mutated while making my way to A by the mutant who thought I was a hakker because of the bug).

All you have to do is switch your bags.

The thing is that having a new MM variant doesn't sound appealing since we have 3 already. Now putting a upgrade in HM alone seems like it would be kinda OPed.

That's going a bit too far. Extra nades? The hero already has a grenade launcher. Be reasonable. And this isn't HMX, dual knives are a no.

All it needs it maybe a special shotgun with extra knock back and maybe damage.
