In game moderators
I was wondering how many people would agree with having in game moderators. We have just forum moderators and i feel like at this point there should be some in game moderators too, that could keep an eye on the players in the game.Of course they would have to have certain power over other players. Also an ingame moderators report of a hack would be taken more seriously then that of just a random person.
Also I think that they should be able to kick players from the game without a vote system if they are hacking or being abusive towards others, but only after giving a fair amount of wornings. An actual hacker chould just be kicked without a worning and then the account reported by the moderator. An abuseive player should resive two and at maximum 3 worings before he is simply muted. Now the muting would only be for public chat and not for friend or clan so they could still talk with friends. Also the muting should range from 1 hour to 1 week.1 week should be used for when the moderator comes across the same player and he is still being abusive, not to mention that the same player should only then recieve only one worning before being muted.
I think that in game mods should be able to remain in their respected clans but should have a specific coloured name tag and the public chat should be of a colour that noone else can have to show that he is a mod. That way they could stay in their respected clans as personaly i like my clan and wouldn't want to change just so i could moderate the game.
Please list any suggestions or ideas and what you think about it as I'm interested to see how many people think the same as me and if it be possible to bring this up to z8 so it would be actually made possible.

Ah cool Thanks for that. But See i was thinking along the lines of counterstrike. How the mods in the game are able to mute and kick players.Of course it is abused, but was wondering if it be possible to get something like that in game beside GM's and MOD's.
Don't know really just a thought I had -

IGM or IG Mods idea is taken. also i work In Game, i go to room from room to look for hackers and glitches. I'm always present in game. -
This is why i don't like to mention ideas in suggestion cause people tempt to take and post it in a different saying.
That's not true. Many players come up with the idea after their own experience. Like being kicked by Turks all the time. Person will think of something which could fix his problem and suggests it.
And if you never suggest because you're afraid players will steal your idea, then what's the point? -

Im the 1st one to come up with this idea like last year ago or longer. i explain all the detail to Talonblaze.
The suggestion of in game mods is a suggestion that has been around since the beginning of the game, it was a much bigger discussion during Suba times because the hacking issue was much larger than it is now. It's not an original idea, and really, no one has claim to being the first to suggesting it. It's an open idea that many games actually enforce somehow, with in game mods of some kind. Metin 2 in-game mods for example have the power to mute people from global chat.
As to the thread although Iceman already gave an answer --
Right now in every CrossFire version is there no set group of permissions for moderators, currently there is only a set of powers which is for the Administrators. The power these tools give is to much to give to someone who doesn't officially work for the company. There have been talks about trying out some kind of tool for Moderators to use while in game, and if that ever happened, it would be given to trusted moderators.
So at this point in time, the Moderators for CF are just really known as Moderators than in game or forum moderators, because we do help deal with both sides. Though we might not have in game powers, there are many other things we help the Administration team do that involves the game, including: Hosting Events, Finding and help correcting Bugs/Glitches, Wander from room to room collecting replays of cheaters and sending them through direct means, broadcasting on the live channel, etc.
We have discussed this at great length in the past, in many threads throughout the years on both the Z8 forums and previously the old Suba forums. If you would like to look at this topic more in detail, where both I, other moderators, and Saidin, have talked about it in great length search something along the lines of "game moderators" or "moderator powers" in the suggestion forums.
On a side note, anyone claiming to be an in game moderator, that is not a moderator on the forums, is not one, and can potentially be banned. Calling yourself a Moderator can confuse people, and sends the wrong message with people thinking you represent the game.
As of right now, everyone in game is equal when it comes to helping out. Anyone can be a "Mod" in the sense that if you see a cheater, you should report them. There is really nothing different between players other than the fact that they either help out by reporting, or they just sit around complaining because they won't help. While there is no really special way of doing it, we really appreciate everyone who takes the time to help out and keep the game clean! -
They are called admins, and yeah, 80% of them abuse their game powers, which is sad.Anyway, CS is a boring game.
Yes it is sad that most admins in counters strike abuse their power.Which is the major issue that comes up if you were to think about in game moderating.
DynoD.As Morfrite said, many players have come up with such an idea. The thinkg is if you come up with an idea post it like i did.It may not be original but it will get a discussion going which will help you see if the idea is viable or not.
From what Rex and Iceman have said i gather that despite this being discussed alot in the past it is pointless at the moment. As the MOD's do the same job.
I see how anyone who isn't directly involved in the running of the game would be weary of giving anyone else any sort of power in the game. But giving some power to trusted MOD's for a trial run would be a good idea i think. It could help put everything into perspective for both developers and players.
It be great if we could encourage everyone not to simply complain but actually report hackers.
Slightly on a side note.I've been off for a few months and when i came back i found that when you quit a game you can save replay.I think that's a great idea and am thankful they put that in
By the way thank you for all the info.Has helped to clear up alot of thing and put everything into perspective -
Well, I am not so sure... But doesn't the CF Russia have like that Police clan/squad thingy where these people can kick directly from in game and stuff like that?
I read about this long time ago and even tried to find something on their forums, but I found nothing useful... -

It would be nice if we would have it too...
