Fire your current support staff.

It's clear here at z8games they don't have the brightest support staff, hence me sending them a very thought out detailed support ticket, for me to wait 24 hours for them to tell me what I already know (automated message). 6+ days later, haven't heard from them, and I'm beginning to wonder if they decided to just ignore my claim. (http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?p=3131310#post3131310)

Here is what I imagine what it looked like when their staff was reviewing my claim:

I think it's in their best interest to fix their nonexistent support system, otherwise they are going to lose potential consumers or long-term players like myself.

Have a nice day.

haha the pic made my day xD
  • Any time I send in a ticket I anticipate useless canned responses and a long drawn out resolution.
  • Actually you will get some automatic respond every now and then. I sent quite a few support tickets since I started to play this game and I get these automated messages like 1/3 of the time. If you need more information then just tell them you already know it and you need to know more. If they closed your ticket then open a new on the same matter saying that the automatic respond wasn't what you expected.
  • Do you know whats funny?

you ask a question mods and forums say to ask the support.

you ask the support, they don't answer you.
  • I'm scared I might get hurt if I join this rage thread, but I just wanted to let you know that the dat files are merely text files that save user preferences.
  • corkin wrote: »

Why would you get hurt? The worst they can do is to ban you from the forums, but you can create a new acc.
  • Also, even when you call them, they give you useless answers.
  • It seems I'm not the only one who has been through this. Funny, you'd think their top priority would be getting money, and so mainting it least a decent support system would be mandatory, since nobody wants to support a company that ignores player issues.

This is going to be a huge stain against them in terms of reviews, if I ever get a chance to submit a formal review for this game, you can bet I will bring this up.

@corkin, yes but the info regarding when the file was created cannot be altered. If it says the dat has existed for xyz, which is around the same time I created the account, then that means I've been using it since it's creation on this PC. If that's not enough to convince you I have ownership, I don't know what is.

Have you ever seen a big gaming magazine that talks about crossfire? I guess not, I haven't seen any articles about crossfire.

This game is so sh*tty, people don't care about it, there is way worse crap then their support.
  • Im confused on how you thought that reply was a poor reply...

    According to your thread, you said this;

""All of the information you have provided does not match our records.

Please note that if you cannot provide us with at least two pieces of RECENT/CURRENT correct account information on the support form, we cannot help you."

I was fully aware that the information I had given them wasn't one hundred percent accurate"

    So why are you complaining?
You didnt provide the correct information obviously... no matter what excuses you wrote down... it could be bullsh.it to get an account off them... they need undeniable proof and in the end, theyre not responsible for you forgetting the details and returning it you if you can prove the ownership.

Once again if you don't like it then leave it.

I have also never seen a big gaming magazine talk about other games like Combat Arms or AVA.... So whats your point?

hmmm its mostly Call of duty or Battlefield when it comes to talks about first person shooters.

Combat Arms and AVA are bad games too, but I saw a few articles about AVA.

It is easy to protect crossfire here, because everybody here likes crossfire, but go to a gaming forum, where people play different games and ask them what they think about crossfire. They will give you a neutral answer.

I dunno... people say its very similar to CS. Id say they would think its very preferable to other F2P FPS games.

I haven't tried a lot of free2play games, I can't say if crossfire is better or worse then other f2p games but it is definitely worse the most of the pay2play games.

The only good thing about crossfire is that they keep it simple like crossfire, but that's it.

This game has still to many bugs to be considered as a good game.

Sometimes you shot an enemy and he doesn't dies, because of lag or whatever. As long as this is not solved this game is bad.

Sometimes you get killed even when you are behind a wall, which is a no-go too. Those things have to be changed.

As I said in the Future of Crossfire thread, when they port this game to a good engine, like the source engine or the unreal engine, the game would be good.

The only good thing about CF is CF? wut?

Really? Name a few of them.

Thats lag... nothing to do with the game at all. Again an community issue.

    Again... lag....

I doubt this will be ported to another engine. It would require a MASSIVE overhaul of the game which would simply take too much time and money to be feasible to do...

I'm obviously not going to reveal the information that I gave them, but if you payed attention I gave them three paragraphs of information. Very valid very accurate info, that only the account owner would know. *sigh* Just read the whole thread and you'll understand, I explain everything.

Wow you have the lowest standards ever. "theyre not responsible for you forgetting the details and returning it you if you can prove the ownership." That just says it all, why don't you go work for them if that's the attitude you have?

    So what is it?

How is that low standards? They will help people who need it but they way you laid it out seems to me like you havent got a clue about any of the account information and just whining about them not giving it back to you because you cant prove its yours...

"After that, I brainstormed how I could prove ownership of the account. I located my old Crossfire folder and decided to open up the information on it, such as when the file(s) where created, specifically the name save .dat, to prove to them that I've been using my login id for roughly a year. I sent them the picture and awaited an response."

That is not what you call "relevant information". You give them the information they ask for or you dont get it back. Simple. Giving screenshots of stuff on your pc means nothing.

Lag is also server-side you do know that right. He's talking about the bug where you are behind a wall and get killed, and it doesn't register as a penetration kill because of the poor hit detection caused by server lag.

Do you think yours through? You sound like a rambling incoherent fanboy that can barely hold an argument. You only came into this thread to start a flame war like you did in the other, quite sad really. You should see the sun sometime, fresh air is good.

The info I gave them, regarding the two things needed as proof. But as for the "additional info", everything I said was spot on.

"seems to me" here we go with you assuming again. You don't know the information I gave them, do you? Can you trust me with me saying that it was very accurate?

I beg to differ. It's solid proof I've been using the account since it's creation. What's the point in "support" if I know the information anyway?

Yes im well aware of client-server connections.. I do have a degree in computer science...

That is lag. According to the server... you were out from the wall but on the client you were behind the wall.... the player fires, hits you where the server thinks you are but in that time, the server hasnt had time to relay your current position back and you are killed as far as the server is concerned but it looks totally different on your end... and vice versa.

Im not by any means a fanboy.. i roam the forums looking for stupid posts to correct before rumours start up about things that arent even true. No I didnt come here to start a flame war.. I came here to correct your points since theyre basically misleading...

I get enough sun, cheers... I daresay I have a larger social life then you have judging by the fact youre here complaining about useless things on an online game which done really matter.

They need certain information... the additional information is to solidify the main information you give... since you didnt give enough of the information they need, its simply not good enough.

Not really since youre telling me now it was accurate and before you said it wasnt... make your mind up...

If youre trying to retrieve certain information.. such as the email.. youll need the security answer... if you have neither then youre screwed.

Creating a new engine would be like creating a new game and I highly doubt they would do that. They could tweak it here and there and add on to the current one however which wouldn't be much effort.

I meant cf is simply, like cs (counter strike) and that's the only good thing about it. I have 3 other forums open and this confuses me a little bit.

There are always bugs in crossfire, like those client errors and other server errors that kick one out of clan wars. There was also this ammo bug some times ago.

I wouldn't call it lag, sometimes both players have 50 ping, 50 is a normal ping. But beside that, I played counter strike with over 100 ping and this doesn't happens in cs, or any other game. The crossfire engine is bad, it is obviously not meant for online gaming because it can't even handle a little bit lag.

Also in this escape mod some laggers just teleport all over them map right into the escape. I know a few egypts who did this.

I think the reason why they wont port this is because this version is already popular, there is no need to switch because people play it the way it is. They might switch to a better version when they start losing players.

Anyway, I think it wont be that hard to port it into a new engine. There are a few crossfire players who ported crossfire into counter strike 1.6. A few Asian guys did this. They also made ghost mode in cs 1.6, which was not easy.

There is also this guy called spongebob, it is his forum name, and he creates a lot of mods too. He ported crossfire to counter strike source, and he did it alone.

Those people did it alone, nobody paid them. The z8games team went to school and learned how to code and they also get paid for it, so why shouldn't they do it? Beside that, there are already many free2play games based on the unreal engine.

    Ah k.

So you claim of many bugs and name 3. K. I know there are bugs in the game but none are exactly game breaking.

    CS has better lag compensation.

    Its old... theres a difference.

I doubt it.. they wouldnt have the resources and money to do that if theyre in a downward spiral of players.. if its going to happen, it will happen at the peak of the game.

All they did was recreate the maps in a different engine... Ive seen this. Its not quite porting a game over...

Did you get that degree so you could post 10 thousand times on an internet forum?

It's not the players fault. I have an amazing broadband connection, I never lag. If the person who shot me is lagging, then the client would have delayed for him and if anything his shots wouldn't even have registered or it would have counted it as a penetration kill. It is server-side.

You sound very egocentric. Bias ignorant and you assume waay too much.

LOL nice one, says the guy bragging about his simple computer degree, I'm a freelancer and make six figures, you have what, 10,000 posts?

I'm complaining because I believe there is some hope for this game. If nobody complained or said anything then this game would be horse sh*t.
