I guess you played to much Team Fortress 2, are there any other game with sandwiches? Anyway they don't fit into crossfire, this is a game where the health doesn't recovers and this is good. Most of the pro servers in Unreal Tournament have health packs disabled too, there is no need to add them. -
You people obviously don't understand.
You are losing your pistol, in place of some health. I'm talking like 20 to 30hp max. It would greatly help with snipers who might get strafed from far away. Of course, the sniper would lose the insurance of having that deagle that he could 1 click people with but he gets more survivability (subjectively speaking).
Same goes for people that rifle. It would make the game much more interesting to see how this item could be used. You lose your pistol, and boom, you have a deployable health pack that could severely change the outcome of games. :
Lets say for example its a scrim, Team A nukes Team B's best player to 10 hp. However Team B has a member on the team with a sandwich. That simple decision to give that top player 20 more hp could be game changing.
Either way it will bring a whole new tactical challenge and benefit to teams to play around with.
Your concern might be, "Oh, it would be cheap and people would spam it" but would they? Alot of people don't have the skill required to use only their primary and often rely on their pistol in tight situations for various reasons but not limited to: Reloading at the wrong times, Having to reload, Needing a more accurate shot because you sprayed someone down, etc.
Its a trade off.
Also I can tell you guys are new to the forums. I usually post this suggestion once a month. You people are severly handicaped. -

I think it would be bad because it doesn't fits into this game. You can have only 100hp or more with armor but the healt packs ruin this. -

There are health pack mods for counter strike source.
Go to steam and buy counter strike source or pirated it. Join a server with this mode and try it yourself.
The health packs are stupid. There are many ways to abuse it.
You can rush into the enemy and when you lose health you can just take a health pack and you have your health back.
Really it's not fun. -

Jaffy, you're amazing.
OT: I agree that its a bad idea due to the fact that armor is enough to save you. With the health pack idea, they can have armor AND save themselves from death, creating a completely OP player. -
