Ping Limit on server
How bout we have a 130 ping limit on each server? so everyone can find a server to play on without laggers or anything. We could also add a server that doesn't have a limit for everyone to just play. We could make it so that if the ping doesnt go below 130 ( meaning if its steady ABOVE 130, ) then the user is kicked out the server? sounds pretty fair. I would say below 100 ping but 130 sounds a bit more fair.

If there was a ping restricted server, everyone would play on that server instead of the open ping server. Besides this idea has been suggested before and just started a flame war about Turkish/Egyptian/Brazilian/Vietnamese/Chinese/Portuguese players. -
and what if someone just spike once and hes ace then he get kicked and boom lost all hes exp and gp
The ping limit comes with a warning. You have to go over it 3 times to get kicked.
Most of the counter strike source servers have a ping limit. Some have 80 others have 100 and there are also servers with 50 ping limit. It worked great and I don't see why it shouldn't work. -

half of the people that play on CF are BR or lagy people so you wanna ban them out of the server?
so you wouldnt even keep one full server all time.
if they did this then CF would be dead pretty soon...
also what do you wanna have then a window that pop up and say you spiked?
maybe in the middel of the game there gonna pop up a window with saying you spiked.

Ohh no. You are just stupid if you can't think of anything better. The message that tells you that you spiked comes in the chat message. This way it will not disturb anyonealso what do you wanna have then a window that pop up and say you spiked?

It's not racism to ban people from your server, if I don't want to play with them I don't have too. I don't know if you notice but z8games banned many euro countries from their version too, does this make them racists? No. This version is not meant for them and so are the servers. Well you have to fix it if you want to play online. You don't have the right to disturb other players with your bad internet connection. But by the way, this is just optional (in css) and the spikes can be edited too so it only kicks you if you get over the ping limit for 10 seconds. If you just go over the ping limit for 2 or 1 second nothing will happen -

they didnt want to ban the europe countries.....
they had to because of CF EU.

this is exactly what i was thinking. and for spiking, i meant if the ping continues to be over 130 for a minute or two, then you would be kicked temporarily from the server. if it drops down to below 130 within a minute or two, then you should be fine. -

Now an example. Let's say you hire a guy who codes a game for you. You tell him to add this warning and he programs it that way that a window pops up in middle of the screen.
What would you do with that guy? I would fire him because he is a stupid coder. You did the same.

I mean it is not that hard to think of something better, this whole mode was created by a community, normal people, not professionals that get paid for it and they could think of it too.they didnt want to ban the europe countries.....

There will be no ping limit in the near future, the game depends on all users being able to access the servers. In a pay to play enviroment it would be counterproductive to limit the users from accessing all the servers.
CF EU licensing was done to have servers within European locations with a localized to manage and control players. If licensing is decided to be financially beneficial to G4/Smile then similar situations may occur in the future. The people from these regions were locked to prevent them from returning the the NA crossfire community (To force these players to financially support the EU revision of the game). -
as for the window pop up, sorry i skimmed the replies, but as for the window pop up, if its about the warning, then yeah they should have a warning about you getting kicked out. its not a perm kick either, just until the ping has stopped spiking.
Would it be better instead to let the person who is lagging a lot simply not respawn? I mean, Let's say "X" person gets a super high score, but then lag spikes.
That person gets kicked out, thus his overall score remains the same, while the realization comes that he used up "Y" amount of time. Letting them simply not spawn in the mode (Until their ping lowers) would probably help.

also CF EU bought something about those countries and now other CF's cant allow them to keep making accounts ask a MOD.

also i didnt really just mean BR but each high ping player but each br got high ping so you would ban them so you would be banning each br of the server and thats racism.

You're basically talking about everyone except NA, CA and the UK. And the game is made international. You do relize that BR's are the ones that run this game right? Like literally i'd say over 50% of the cf population is Brazilian....

hm true. so i guess only one is needed? if thats the case, they should just make tht server echo. Mostly people play Echo 8 so they don't have to deal with laggers so i mean i guess thats the only server that should have it. or maybe its possible that a ping limit should be optional for each room in echo? -

Its just one server also echo is most of the time just one channel.
