Reporting Hacker Friend
Comments
-
Hi,
quick explanation:
3 days ago my friend was obviously aimbotting, I told him to stop hacking he said he didn't hack, but it was obvious he even lost his honorable the week before because he used hacks... he had a bust video on youtube, and I told him to give me 10k ZP or I would report him xD
but he didn't hear me so I toke a SS of the webform and sent him, he kept hacking, 3 days after (today) I went to TeamSpeak,
what happened to his account where he spent 300€+ and was silver bar... he was permanently banned.
Final question:
Do you think I made the right choice or I'm a horrible person?
Horrible person. You chose a game over this "friend." Simple as that.
*Edit: And you asked for ZP. That is another negative. Pretty bad if you ask me. And as for hackers/cheaters being "scum"; It's a game. People tend to cheat. They aren't always scum. Lol.
*Double-Edit: I guess there was sarcasm in there about the ZP. Anywho.. -
you did the right thing son.
you should be proud of yourself.
it is not just a game because there are real people behind those characters.
it would be just a game if you are playing against computer.
as for blackmailing for zp, if he gives you 10k zp, and still keeps on hacking, will you report him? probably not since you took his money.
so you should say why you reported him, not because of money but because it was the morally right thing to do.
people who do the right things are happier at the end. -
Cheating is pathetic, he deserved it. Since he's already lost his honorable ribbon, that gave him a chance to change back to a regular player, but instead he continued hacking, which deserves a final punishment.
You did everything right, and nothing wrong. -

Except he tried to blackmail his friend -.- -
you did the right thing cuz he ain't your friend.
or your definition of friend is f***ed up.
well, I definitely wouldn't want to even be considered a friend by a person like you.
Threatening a friend? C'mon
If my friend hacks, I wouldn't give a damn. I wouldn't play with him though since that would be boring. But I'd just let him be. He would eventually be banned anyways.
Plus I like to be an ass in this game. When you still couldn't kick in HM, my friend would block the cage of merida and I would shoot all the mutants from inside.
Yes, that is somewhat annoying if someone else did it but having fun with friends and watching people rage was just too good. Thats what friends are for (doing stupid sh** and having fun).
If he killed someone in real life. no question about that, tell the cops but this is just a game.
But, seriously, if he was your online friend I don't give a damn. If he was your college buddy or whatever....Your justin bieber
Edit: You are a semi-horrible person. what? got a problem. It's you who asked the question. Did you really expect everyone to be like "You are justice! Good job!" ? -
Final question:
Do you think I made the right choice or I'm a horrible person?
You have warned him
You reported a Hacker
You have contributed to the community
Does reporting cheaters makes you a horrible person? Following your logic would mean the Hackers are the "Nice rebels against the Z8Games Empire"
*lol*
You did the right choise, I used to report one of my friend who liked to speed...

And yeah most people here will tell you that you did the right thing cause they only care about the game .You made this thread cause you already knew that you would get these answers to make you feel better.
Ask your parents or some real people out there and you ll get your answer .
This guy explained it perfectly. -
I must say it's kind of foolish you ask this on a forum. Ofc everyone is going to say it's good you reported him even if he's yo friend.. It's very lame you've reported him, it was rather tell on him or blackmail him, you just should've ignored it and don't play with him no longer.
You made the wrong choice, sir. -
It's a choice rather lose a friend or do the game a tiny tiny tiny favor by reporting this single player. Seriously, being banned on a game can really p(i)ss off your mood for months and this is not necessary for this time where people have exams.NanoCooper wrote: »You have warned him

Yes, I'm 15 and I don't even know him and I keep talking to him on TeamSpeak, he's just a member of a clan, he doesn't even seem to care, we talk as we talked before, I guess he still doesn't believe I was the one that reported him and who the hell are you to talk with all that superiority?
And I don't feel bad because I told him to stop cheating but he didn't listened to me and he knew the consequences of hacking.
And if by losing an account on a game he would end a friendship I would be glad not to have a "friend" like that, but it isn't the case since I don't even know him, so I didn't make this thread so I could feel better. Simply wanted to know what everyone would do, I was curious.

Then you can do anything since he is not your real "friend"
don't use the word, friend easily

wouldn't it make more sense for the hacker not to hack in the first place if he's gonna get p!ssed off at a ban?
"a tiny tiny tiny favor by reporting this single player"
Leaving that single player to continue hacking will encourage others to hack, so I wouldn't call it such a tiny tiny tiny favor.
@[fLoww You know you did the right thing.....just ignore the silly kids that say you didn't. -

Let me rephrase that sentence again: I would be p!ssd of when it's my friend who reported me. But yes, it's in the first place very stupid to h4ck, but you can assume you're save if your friend knows it.
A single player doesn't hurt, players will encounter loads of more h4ckers in-game wich will, as you say, encourage him.
Then again: In my opinion i would chose friendship above a game that's why i said it was a wrong decision
