Image sigs

I would like you guys to make it so we can have image sigs. Nots gifs so non of the video that may contain inapporite content.... there would be strict rules about them too.what you can and cant have.

Ya this is right.....
We need to have some Image Sigs....
If its abusing or anything.... Do what you do when any abusing pics are in Avatar.... Like you control Avatar and Profile Pic control Sig....
Most Forums have it....
It also make way for sig experts...

I am not sure about this one.

Most of the forums allow pics in signaturs and it works actually pretty good.

I think they look good as long as you put some limits into it like 500x100.

But then again you guys are just a bunch of little kids that write in colors. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not.

There are more reasons than just 'the community is bad'.

The main thing is for us Moderators. Signatures and Avatars can't be changed or removed by us as easily as posts or threads can. Thus it makes it MUCH harder to enforce and keep appropriate.

With the community and its poor nature, such a responsibility not be given.

Until a system is put in place where we can moderate such fields easier as well, its very unlikely we will get such. Even with the basic sigs and avvies people are breaking the rules for it.

I've on many forums and it was never a problem to remove the signature.

ya thats for sure...but a simple 1 image would have been good... I just joined forums and i already made a siggy but then only found you cannot put it... wat a bumper..?? I made this one...... :'(

-1 they're just too distracting, along other things.
Just look at the ones the mobs have.
Saidin should put some/more restriction on what they can have.

We should at least give it a try for real just saying no
People with 1K + post know some rules......and more familair with the forum so the wouldn't abuse it just like that.

than oke ya spamming would maybe but we got mods so ya....if people start spamming just to get to that 1k post easily banned and losing there right to get a signature for 6 months at least?

that one is to big, I don't want to see that picture every time I come to this place. If everybody would use them the forum would be to full.

Nope they are not. There are other distracting things like colored text or the black design.

If there are image signatures, then every thread will become like the "post your screenshot" one, with images everywhere, which would make the forum slower for those who have a slow internet, and I think it'd become more annoying then anything else.
Picture a whole page of 1 line/word posts, with irrelevant images everywhere.

Plus I don't see how an image signature is interesting whatsoever...

Nope because they could add limits to the pictures so they aren't that big. Also not everybody would use a picture in his signature.

You can disable signatures. Here is the link. I disabled them, I don't see any avatars or signatures.

I vote on picture signatures,
on many forums I am there are picture-sigs allowed but
also there is strict rule about them:
- max size (eg 700 x 200 or 650 x 120 )
- max weight (eg 500 KB)
- and also specified what it shouldn't contain (nude, provocative pictures)

It increase the length of the pages, take longer to load (noticeable for the low end computer/interenet users), take up memory space on Z8's account servers, and give another thing that needs to be moderated.

Quite a few problems for something that gives Z8 nothing in return.

also, We have plenty of Moderators - and it's not that hard to check what size of sig is,
and what weight.

rofl... forbid something just because it 'can' be abused.

So if you think that way than it would be the best if you removed bullet holes in game cause I've seen people 'drawing' a male reproductive organs with it.

And you should also disable any kind of signature, because people 'can' 'draw' male reproductive organs with it, if they use equal mark and some parentheses.

You should also disable the avatars because people 'can' abuse it by putting male reproductive organs pictures in it.

And don't forget reply messages, you should forbid people from replying to other forum threads because they 'can' put male reproductive organ pictures in there too.


With all these being said, I think you should shut down these forums because they 'can' be abused by many users!!!!111oneoneelevenone

Please don't necro old threads.

As for a final wording, it's still a system that can easily be abused and to the fact the right tools are not in place to monitor siggys.

Closing this up now. Sorry there aren't image siggys' for you guys, but understand it's also not something of a priority as well.
