Every time i start crossfire now it loads up to the login and then i get ****ing spam blasted with downloads for some piece of **** nav file and some other file.

This is ridiculous.

Crossfire does not ask you to download once it starts running. You may have spyware or malware or a fake version of Crossfire. Run a virus/spyware scan and don't download anything till you do.
