Hurry Up!
Hi. I'm having the same problem. Gameguard shows and then nothing else happens. Then no program will respond (including ctrl+alt+del) and in order to restart i need to push power button till computer shuts down.
I have a laptop too... pls hurry! Has anyone tried Josef's solution?? -
Yes problem is still not fixed. Don't know what GM's are doing. Cross fire is becoming a very popular game. They need to have weekend support. They are losing too many good PAYING customers over this issue like this on the weekend without no support at all.

i have desktop too.. my game working perfectly after windows reinstall
That might be.. But not all of us want to reinstall windows. This is a issue from them or an update on our computers. Ether way, I am not going to reinstall windows to play a game. Too much time to backup all the stuff and deal with it. They will lose many good players "some paying" if they don't fix the issue. -

i Have reinstalled windows with sp2 and sp1 and it as th same problem on both versions with the last updates and graphics drives it must be because of the last gameguard update
what!!!! you did that and its not working.. your just unlucky, or did you format???? I format the PC and reinstall evreything, its working fine now :P
but i want to know why crossfire did that
(am french canadien sorry for my bad english) -
PROBLEM SOLVED! (At least for me)
Hello dear playmates:
I turned off my anti-virus and the game started without problems. Apparently the new gameguard update has conflicts with the anti-virus. I use Avast.
I hope this works for you too.
I also think that if this is the solution, then we should demand for the gameguard not to crash with any antivirus.
Cya and enjoy! -

In 2 diferent pc's and it isnt working, so its no a problem of the pc or windows or specs, its about that last update of gameguard
, i was playing then i quit the game and when i start again the gameguard updates and it freezes my pc i have to open task manager and close the game -

Turned off your anti-virus before you run crossfire. I posted the solution in page 5 and it appears that it has worked for other users. -
Doctor Loco's solution worked for me.
I have AVAST Antivirus, and upon disabling it, I was able to run cross fire without the "nameless" gameguard error and subsequent freezing of all PC functions, such that only a forced shut down (hold down power button) is able to get the computer back up again.
The error probably happens because the last gameguard update conflicts with the latest avast virus definitions. I feel naked going online without a virus protection, so hopefully they fix this FAST!
Now, a complete digression from this topic, to insult a fellow cross fire member:

ChaplainSun, yea, you, you're FRAKKING PIECE OF ****. You were complaining earlier about someone bullying you in the forums, and quite frankly, I wish that person was me. You deserved to be bullied, you ******ed, useless piece of ****shinning jelly. **** YOU!
...........................End Insult...........................
Well, I hope others experiencing this same problem get it fixed quickly. -

Error 114
Mine just will not load, gives error code 114 and if it happens to load when you quit computer is froze except to restart then it has to reload personal settings and works fine until you get crossfire online again which may take 5 or 6 tries if it happens at all. there is a virus somewhere and we all have it so I am thinking crossfire is what we all have in common and NO iahve not been to any sites to get a virus this is all I do for fun.
