Do this befor you change your firmware...

That's a great suggestion if you have the mamba, an over priced Limited gaming mouse. I have the Oscar xl-750bk laser gaming mouse. On any laser gaming mouse the higher you set your dpi the more gittery your mouse is going to be. That being said these mouses also have anti-vibration on the lifting of the mouse in the software. When you make quick turns with the mouse you dont realize that your are slightly lifting it. Under your mouse settings in the control panel go to pointer options under the speed settings for the pointer, click and enable pointer precision. This will help, but when it comes down to it with a laser mouse shaky hands = shaky movements.

That's not true... DPI doesn't affect jittering, it basically makes your "sensitivity" higher... Also, enabling pointer precision makes turns on acceleration which is never really a good thing.

Thank you very much for this post. I, like many others I guess, set my polling rate to the highest 1000hz, assuming this would give best result for my razer mouse and I wondered why the heck it was jumping around all over the place. Even though I'm a techie I never thought to set it to low as that seemed to defeat the purpose of having a faster mouse. Now at 125hz (next set is 500hz), my mouse works perfectly.
Telling it like it is, in pure un-gibberated English.

I was actually one of the first people to post about this; I think it was over a year ago (around the time the Scar Light originally got nerfed, and they nerfed the "Normal" GP earning rate for only equipping a knife. (about 2 months after beta?) There were only a few replies to my thread, with maybe one or two people confirming the problem.

Very nice find, though. 125hz does seem to make movements alot more accurate, though I still need to test with a "NDC" firmware on my deathadder. (the DC firmwares make the problem less obvious at 500 hz, even though its still there; the NDC firmwares at 500 hz make your mouse look like it's swimming in water....)

Well, the problem itself has NOTHING to do with crossfire itself; it has to do with the core game engine (Jupiter EX+?)'s input routines that it runs on. Combat Arms and Sudden Attack (and I believe, Op7, too) all use the same base graphics engine ,and they all have the exact same problem. The only difference is that Combat Arms actually has a "properly" working Vertical-Sync, since it uses a "True" fullscreen direct3D mode, while Crossfire and the other games do not.

What is striking is that the retail games that use the master engine (Lithtech 3), such as F.E.A.R (Jupiter EX is a gutted version of that engine), do NOT have this issue at all. So this is probably related to some I/O libraries that those Korean programmers use (and we all know they share the same tech in all the games). If they actually used decent I/O code, instead of recycling the same buggy crap (which they probably aren't even aware of) in all of their games, this problem wouldn't happen. (that's why you don't see it in any retail engine games like Unreal Engine 3...)

DC drivers do lessen thé problem but they add prediction that some may not want.
Thanks for the info pertaining to the engine! I saw the same issue in sudden attack which made me sad, but M.A.T. seems to not have it.

You guys can still post questions about this as I check back on this thread every odd week so I could be of some assistance!

Full manual to solve this problem partially or fully in Spanish on the next page for q want, because Z8Games Forum can not post in Spanish.

Or if you do not have this problem also improves mouse movement in the game
